Power Brake Booster Vacuum Check Valve and Hose Replacement (LSA)
Removal Procedure
1. Apply the brake pedal several times until the pedal becomes firm to deplete the vacuum reserve in the brake booster.
2. Remove the front end sheet metal cross brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement.
3. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Engine Cover Replacement.
4. Release the power brake booster vacuum hose and check valve assembly (1) from the power vacuum brake booster.
5. Release the clamp and disconnect the power brake booster vacuum hose (1) from the intake manifold vacuum port.
6. Release the power brake booster vacuum hose from the clips
7. Release the clamp and remove the vacuum check valve (1) from the power brake booster vacuum hose.
Installation Procedure
Note: A small amount of denatured alcohol may be used as a lubricant for assembly.
1. Release the clamp and install the vacuum check valve (1) to the power brake booster vacuum hose.
2. Release the clamp and install the power brake booster vacuum hose (1) to the intake manifold vacuum port.
3. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose to the clips

4. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose and check valve assembly (1) to the power vacuum brake booster.
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Engine Cover Replacement.
6. Install the front end sheet metal cross brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement.
