Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement




Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, or 6.2L)

Special Tools

* J-25033-C - Pulley Installer

* J-25034-C - Pulley Remover

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools Power Steering.

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine coolant fan upper shroud, if equipped. 2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.





3. Use the J-25034-C - remover in order to remove the power steering pump pulley.

Installation Procedure





1. Place the power steering pump pulley on the end of the power steering pump shaft.

2. Use the J-25033-C - installer in order to install the power steering pump pulley.





3. Ensure that the power steering pump pulley (1) is flush against the power steering pump shaft (2) with an allowable variance of 0.25 mm (0.010 in).

4. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.

5. Install the engine coolant fan upper shroud, if equipped.
