Rear Door Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear door trim panel, right side. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24) Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24)

2. Remove the rear door outside handle and license pocket (1). Refer to Rear Door Outside Handle and License Pocket Replacement .

3. Remove the seal for the cylinder (2).

4. Remove the clip that retains the lock cylinder lever (4) to the lock cylinder (3).

5. Remove the lock cylinder (3) from the handle.

6. Remove the lock cylinder (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the seal to the lock cylinder (2).





2. Install the lock cylinder (3) to the vehicle.

3. Press the lock cylinder (3) into the handle in order to engage the lock cylinder retainer.

4. Install the clip in order to retain the lock cylinder lever (4) to the lock cylinder (3).

5. Install the rear door outside handle and license pocket (1). Refer to Rear Door Outside Handle and License Pocket Replacement .

6. Install the rear door trim panel, right side. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24) Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24).
