Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LGH)

J-38185 - Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill Diesel) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill Diesel).

2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

3. Remove the heater hose from the radiator outlet hose.




4. Remove the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at surge tank using J-38185 - pliers.

5. Disconnect the quick connect fitting on the radiator outlet hose (2) at the radiator.

6. Remove the radiator outlet hose (3) from the radiator.




7. Remove the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at engine.

8. Remove the radiator outlet hose retainer (2) from the vehicle.

9. Remove the radiator outlet hose (3) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the radiator outlet hose (3) to the vehicle.

2. Install the radiator outlet hose retainer (2) to the vehicle.

3. Install the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at engine.




4. Install the radiator outlet hose (3) to the radiator.

5. Connect the quick connect fitting on the radiator outlet hose (2) at the radiator.

6. Install the radiator outlet hose clamp (1) at surge tank using J-38185 - pliers.

7. Connect the heater hose to the radiator outlet hose.

8. Lower the vehicle.

9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill Diesel) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill Diesel).
