Turbocharger Vane Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement Service and Repair.





Note: Note wire routing prior to removal.

2. Disconnect the turbocharger vane position sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the turbocharger vane position sensor connector from the bracket on the LH valve cover.




4. Remove the turbocharger vane position sensor from the turbocharger.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the turbocharger vane position sensor to the turbocharger and tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).

2. Install the turbocharger vane position sensor connector to the bracket located on the LH valve cover.




3. Connect the turbocharger vane position sensor electrical connector.

4. Perform the turbocharger learn procedure. Refer to Turbocharger Learn Testing and Inspection.
