Front Brake Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning:
Refer to Brake Dust Warning Brake Dust Warning.


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Removal and Replacement.

3. Remove the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement Front Brake Rotor Replacement.





4. Remove the front brake shield bolts (1).





5. Remove the front brake shield (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the front brake shield (1).





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the front brake shield bolts (1) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

3. Install the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement Front Brake Rotor Replacement.

4. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Removal and Replacement.
