Circuit/System Verification

1. Ignition ON, observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Verify that DTCs U0073, U0100, or U0155 are not set.

If any of the DTCs are set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle.

2. Ignition ON, the MIL should turn ON and OFF when commanded with a scan tool.

Circuit/System Testing

Ignition ON, verify that the P16 Instrument Cluster warning indicators are illuminated.

If the P16 Instrument Cluster warning indicators are not illuminated, test the P16 Instrument Cluster ignition circuit terminal 31 for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal and the ignition circuit fuse is open, replace the P16 Instrument Cluster.
