Cylinder Head Assembly

Install NEW cylinder head bolts.


Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the sequence shown and to the following specifications:

First Pass 35 Nm (26 lb ft)
Second Pass additional 180 degrees

Cylinder Head Surface Flatness - Block Deck Longitude 0.05 mm (0.00197 in)
Cylinder Head Surface Flatness - Block Deck Transverse 0.03 mm (0.00118 in)





Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts one turn at a time 8 Nm (71 lb in)

Intake Manifold Bolt 20 Nm (15 lb ft)

Exhaust Manifold 20 Nm (15 lb ft)

NEW Camshaft Sprocket Bolts 50 Nm (37 lb ft) plus 60 degrees
