Some 1988-1990 C/K Trucks may experience a condition where the door's secondary weatherstrip (see Figure 1) is loose or pulled away from the door opening. In order to correct this condition, a newly designed weatherstrip has been released (P/N 15667234).

The prior design can be discerned from the new design by comparing the ends of the two weatherstrips. The difference appears where the weatherstrip grips the metal flange. In this area the new design (see Figure 3) has two contact flaps, where as the previous design has only one contact flap, and saw-tooth-like extensions opposing the flap (see Figure 2).

IMPORTANT: The newly designed secondary weatherstrip has been installed on production vehicles, beginning with the following VIN Breakpoints:
