Disassembly

1. Remove snap ring (638) and clutch retainer (637).

2. Remove race (636) and either the roller assembly or sprag assembly.

3. Remove snap ring (619).

4. Remove direct clutch backing plate and clutch plates.

5. Using spring compressor tool J-23327 and adaptor J-25018-A, or equivalents, remove snap ring (625).

6. Remove retainer and clutch release springs.

7. Remove piston and inner and outer seals from piston.

8. Remove center piston seal from housing.
