Assemble

1. Install mainshaft into rear internal gear and install snap ring onto mainshaft.

2. Install inner race with lip up, thrust bearing and outer race lip with down onto rear internal gear hub and retain using Transjel J-3685O or equivalent.

3. Install inner race with lip up, thrust bearing and outer race lip with down onto mainshaft.

4. Install mainshaft and rear internal gear assembly into output carrier assembly and lubricate pinion gears with Dexron III transmission fluid.

5. Install output shaft into output carrier assembly, then install snap ring in groove of output carrier assembly.

6. Install thrust washer onto output shaft.

7. Install thrust washer onto output carrier assembly with tabs in pockets. Retain with Transjel J-36850 or equivalent.

8. Install O-ring seal, if equipped.

9. Install front internal ring gear onto carrier assembly.

10. Install reaction drum and carrier assembly into output carrier and lubricate pinion gears with Dexron III transmission fluid.

11. Install sun gear (chamfered inner diameter first) into reaction drum and carrier assembly.

12. Install long splined end of sun gear shaft into sun gear.

13. Install longer lipped race on sun gear shaft with lip up.

14. Install needle thrust bearing assembly on long lipped race.

15. With center support assembly on bench, attach race onto rear hub with Transjel J-36850 or equivalent.

16. Install thrust washer in recess of center support.

17. Install new center support in to reaction carrier.

18. To verify correct assembly, hold reaction carrier stationary and turn center support. Center support should rotate counterclockwise only.
