Owner Letter

February 17, 1994

Dear Chevrolet Truck Owner:

As a valued customer, your complete satisfaction with your Chevrolet truck is our goal. In keeping with this goal, we want to let you know that we have discovered a problem that could affect your vehicle.

On certain C/K model trucks, such as yours, the door lock cylinders were manufactured with inadequate tumbler lubrication. This condition could result in door lock cylinder freeze up and corrosion.

To be absolutely sure that your vehicle is to specifications, we have enclosed the lock cylinder lubricant with instructions to lubricate your lock. The instructions are located on the bottle of lubricant and on the reverse side of this letter. However, if you prefer, you may contact your dealer to schedule a service date to have this service performed for you at no charge. The procedure will take about 10 minutes to complete, but you should ask how much additional time your dealer will need to schedule and process your vehicle.

The enclosed owner reply card identifies your vehicle. If you perform this campaign repair yourself, please complete the card to indicate that the campaign has been completed and return the card to us. If you decide to have your dealer perform the repair for you, presentation of this card to your dealer will assist in making the necessary correction in the shortest possible time. However, if you have sold or traded your vehicle, please furnish us the complete name and address of the person you sold or traded the vehicle to and return the card to us.

We are sorry to cause you this inconvenience; however, we have taken this action in the interest of your continued satisfaction with our products.
