Assemble

1. Using bearing installation tool No. J39190 or equivalent, install rear housing shift shaft bearing. Install bearing flush into bore so that writing on bearing lip faces down.

2. Install support and snap ring.

3. Install output shaft bearing retainer.

4 Apply thread-locker part No. 1234582 or equivalent. to bolt threads, then torque bolts to 16 ft. lbs.

5. Install two dowel pins. Drive until flush.

6. Using output shaft oil seal installer tool No. J36503 or equivalent, install slip yoke oil seal. Fill between seal lips with suitable chassis grease.

7. Apply pipe sealant part No. 1052080 or equivalent to threads of oil fill plug, then install oil fill plug and torque to 27 ft. lbs.
