Intermittents and Poor Connections



Most intermittents are caused by faulty electrical connections or wiring, although a sticking relay or solenoid can also cause an intermittent condition. Check wiring and connectors for the following:

a. Poor mating of connector halves, or terminals not fully seated in connector body.
b. Dirt or corrosion on terminals.
c. Damaged connector body.
d. Improperly formed or damaged terminals.
e. Poor terminal to wire connection.
f. Rubbed through wiring insulation.
g. Wiring broken inside insulation.
