Shift Lever Housing

Important
- Do not disassemble the transmission shift lever housing. If the shift lever housing requires replacement, replace with a new shift tower. Internal parts for this shifter are not available and opening the shift tower voids the warranty.
- When removing the shift tower from the transmission, use the exposed bolts on the base of the tower. Do not use the bolts under the rubber boot located at the top of the tower.
- During installation or removal of the shift tower, the transmission must be in the 3th or 4th gear position. After tightening the four bolts securing the shift tower to the transmission, the shifter can be engaged into other shift positions.





Inspect
- Prior to removal, check the shift lever housing for proper operation.
- Boot for cracks, tears, or distortion. Replace if necessary.
