11. Main Shaft Assemble
Main Shaft Assemble
1. Use a flange or other tool to position the main shaft assembly vertically.
2. Install the reverse clutch taper.
3. Using locking pliers, position the clutch taper snap ring.
4. Install the lubricated reverse gear synchronizer ring.
5. Install the reverse gear roller cage.
6. Install the reverse gear and synchronizer.
7. Turn the reverse gear and synchronizer in order to seat them into the insert grooves.
8. Install the pulley sphere for the reverse gear.
9. Install the reverse gear push pulley.
10. Using a driving tool or a hydraulic press, install the bearing.
11. Install the 5th gear onto the main shaft.
12. Using a drive tool or a hydraulic press, seat the 5th gear into position.
13. Install the reverse gear drive pulley.
14. Install the 1st gear onto the main shaft.
15. Install the 1st gear interior taper.
16. Install the intermediate ring and the synchronizer ring.
17. Install the 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer assembly.
18. Turn the 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer assembly in order to seat the insert grooves.
19. Using a driving tool, seat the 1st and 2nd gear synchronization assembly.
20. Using locking pliers, install the synchronizer hammer snap ring.
21. Install the lubricated 2nd gear synchronization ring, and position the insert grooves.
22. Install the 2nd gear roller cage.
23. Install the 2nd gear onto the main shaft.
24. Install the 2nd gear pulley sphere.
25. Install the 2nd gear push pulley onto the main shaft.
26. Install the 3rd gear hub onto the main shaft.
27. Using a driving tool or a hydraulic press, install the 3rd gear hub.
28. Install the 3rd gear roller cage onto the main shaft.
29. Install the 3rd gear onto the main shaft.
30. Install the lubricated 3rd gear synchronizer ring.
31. Install the 3rd and 4th gear synchronizer assembly.
32. Turn the 3rd and 4th gear synchronizer assembly in order to seat the insert grooves.
33. Install the pulley track and push bearing.
34. Install the synchronization ring and the drive shaft clutch ring.
