Air Compressor Leak Test




Air Compressor Leak Test

Special Tools
* J 22124-B Pressure Gauge (0-300 psi)
* J 22124-91 Pressure Gauge Adapter

1. Attach the J 22124-91 to the air dryer.
2. Attach the J 22124-B to the J 22124-91 with the toggle valve on the opposite side of the air compressor. Close the toggle valve.
3. Apply air pressure at the schrader valve. Pressurize until the J 22124-B reads 690 kPa (100 psi).
4. Check the following areas using soap bubbles:

* Solenoid valve
* Air dryer to compressor head O-ring
* Air dryer cover
* Air compressor head gasket
* Air compressor head cover-If necessary, tighten the cover bolts to 5.6 Nm (50 lb in).
