Front Drive Axle Clutch Shaft Bearing Replacement

Tools Required
* J 34011 Pilot Bearing Remover
* J 33842 Pilot Bearing Installer

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the inner axle shaft and housing assembly. Refer to Front Drive Axle Inner Shaft and Inner Shaft Housing Replacement Front Drive Axle Inner Shaft and Inner Shaft Housing Replacement.
2. Remove the clutch shaft from the differential carrier assembly.




3. Remove the clutch shaft pilot bearing using the J 34011 .

Installation Procedure

1. Lubricate the bearing with axle lubricant. Use the proper fluid. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations Maintenance.




2. Install the clutch shaft pilot bearing using the J 33842 .
3. Install the clutch shaft to the differential carrier assembly.
4. Install the inner axle shaft and housing assembly. Refer to Front Drive Axle Inner Shaft and Inner Shaft Housing Replacement Front Drive Axle Inner Shaft and Inner Shaft Housing Replacement.
