Wide Open Throttle Cut-Out Switch Test

Wide Open Throttle Cut-Out Switch:

To test the switch, proceed as follows:

1. Disconnect wire connector going to the wide open throttle cut-out switch.
2. With throttle in closed position, check continuity of switch with an ohmmeter or continuity tester. If no continuity, replace switch.
3. With throttle in position of 10° before wide open and up to wide open, check continuity of switch. If continuity exists, push actuator arm with a screwdriver and check continuity. If no continuity, adjust switch so that circuit is open in throttle position of 10° before wide open, to wide open. If continuity still exists, replace switch.


Adjust

1. Loosen mounting screws and move switch so the A/C clutch circuit is open with throttle position 10° before wide open throttle.
