The use of the Driveability test Procedure has been encouraged as a means to improve the dealer "Fix-It-Right" capability.

The Test Procedure is designed into four categories:

A. Visual Inspection
B. No Start
C. Cold Drive
D. Warm Drive

These four categories provide a systematic approach to diagnosing a driveability complaint..

It is not necessary to perform all categories to determine a fault. However, it is important the proper repair be performed to resolve the customer complaint.

Several Symptom/Conditions are listed showing the repairs that have little or no effect for resolution.
