All 1983 passenger cars and trucks (under 10,000 pounds GVW) have a Vehicle Identification Number Plate for identification purposes.

VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER PLATE: This is the official number for title and registration purposes.

LOCATION OF PLATE: The plate is located on the top left side of the instrument panel. It is visible through the windshield.
