Wiper Motor: Service and Repair


FRONT
Exc. Horizon, Omni, Charger & Turismo
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove wiper arms and pivot attaching nuts.
2. Remove plastic screen covering cowl, if equipped, and disconnect reservoir hose from "T" connector on Daytona and Laser.
3. Remove wiper motor cover and disconnect electrical connectors to motor.
4. Push pivots downward into plenum chamber, then pull motor outward to clear mounting stud. Move wiper motor toward driver's side of vehicle as far as possible and pull righthand pivot and link assembly through opening, then move motor toward passenger side of vehicle and remove wiper motor, and lefthand pivot and link assembly.
5. Remove nut from end of motor shaft, then the motor crank.
6. Reverse procedure to install.



REAR
Aries, Reliant, LEBARON, EXECUTIVE, LANCER & TOWN & COUNTRY
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arm and blade assembly.
3. Remove wiper motor cover, then disconnect wire connector from motor.
4. Remove four screws attaching wiper motor bracket to liftgate, then the wiper motor.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
