SYMPTOM/CONDITION
A condition may exist on subject model vehicles of sag or hesitation under light to medium tip-in acceleration at attitudes above 3,000 feet above sea level.
NOTE: THIS PROCEDURE APPLIES TO VEHICLES WITH 2.2L ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION BUILT PRIOR TO EARLY NOVEMBER, 1984, AND EQUIPPED WITH LOGIC MODULE PN 5226251 OR 5226789 FOR FEDERAL OR PN 5226254 OR 5226792 FOR CALIFORNIA.
DIAGNOSIS/REPAIR
Thorough diagnosis should be performed using the Driveability Test Procedure.
If diagnosis reveals no other cause for the condition, check the part number of the logic module. If equipped with module PN 5226251 or 5226789 (Federal) or PN 5226254 or 5226792 (California), replace the module.

Perform the logic module replacement per the appropriate service manual procedures.
