Subject: 1987 "J" Body Convertible Service Actions



There are three separate service actions involving the LeBaron Convertible. The following chart should help to clarify the changes required in each case. It is possible for a car to require only the floor mat service (#406), only one of the convertible top services (#409 or #410), or both the mat and one of the top services (#406/409 or #406/410).

Owners of cars involved in two actions will be notified of both in the same mailing so that dealers can schedule the service for both together.
Service Description:

Front Mats
^ Remove original front mats and install revised driver's front mat and matching right mat.

Spare Tire

^ Inspect for proper spare tire position and tightness and correct as needed.

Headliner
^ Remove original and install revised headliner.

Top Bow Springs
^ Install #3 top bow assist springs both sides.

Silencer Pad
^ Cut away upturned strip of pad at trunk bulkhead along entire width.
^ Cut away triangular section of wheelhouse silencer both sides.
