Coolant Controlled Engine Vacuum Switch (CCEVS)

4 Cylinder Engines
The CCEGR/CVSCC is mounted in the thermostat housing. This switch prevents vacuum from being supplied to the EGR system or other systems after a cold start, until coolant temperature reaches a predetermined level. After coolant temperature reaches this level, the valve opens and vacuum is supplied to the EGR valve, allowing exhaust gas to recirculate.
