Coolant Vacuum Switch Cold Closed (CVSCC)

Some 1983-87 vehicles are equipped with a CVSCC mounted in the radiator. When engine coolant temperature reaches approximately 108-125° F, the CVSCC will open permitting vacuum to be applied to the EGR control valve allowing exhaust gas to recirculate.
