Fuel Tank Draining Procedure

Siphon Hose Connection Location K, E, G, H EFI Models:

Draining Fuel Tank - Except Shelby Turbocharged models
1. Remove fuel filler cap and perform fuel system pressure release.
2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
3. Remove draft tube rubber cap from tank unit and connect either a portable holding tank or a siphon hose to draft tube.
4. Drain fuel tank dry into holding tank or a properly labeled "gasoline" safety container.

Siphon Hose Connection - Shelby Turbo:

Draining Fuel Tank - Shelby Turbocharged Models
1. Remove fuel filler cap.
2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
3. Remove fuel supply hose from tank sending unit and connect either a portable holding unit or a siphon hose to the metal tube on the sending unit.
4. Drain fuel tank dry into holding tank or a properly labeled "gasoline" safety container.
