DR-1C Checking Switch Inputs to SMEC

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step B before proceeding.

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector.
2. Place system in Switch Test Mode.
3. Check switch inputs by pressing down on brake pedal, moving gear selector from park to reverse (auto. trans.) or turning A/C on.
4. If display on read-out tool changes as one or more of switches are activated, proceed to Test 1 step H.
5. If display on read-out tool does not change as one or more of switches are activated, proceed as follows:
Brake switch without speed control, proceed to Test 1 step D;
Brake switch with speed control, proceed to Test 1 step E;
Park/Neutral switch, proceed to Test 1 step F;
A/C button, proceed to Test 1 step G.
