DR-1L Checking AIS Motor SMEC 60-Way Connector

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step J before proceeding.

1. Turn engine Off, then connect AIS motor electrical connector.
2. Disconnect 60-way electrical connector from SMEC.
3. Connect an ohmmeter between SMEC 60-way electrical connector terminal Nos. 19 and 20.
4. If ohmmeter indicates continuity, replace SMEC.
CAUTION: Before replacing the SMEC, check the N1 and N3 terminal in cavities No. 19 and 20 of the 60-way connector to make sure they are not damaged causing a poor connection.
5. If ohmmeter does not indicates continuity, check for open circuit in wiring from terminal Nos. 19 and 20.
