Scheduled Maintenance Inspection

The airbag system must be inspected every three years or 30,000 miles. The following items should be inspected:
1. Inspect airbag module housing for signs of physical damage or abuse.
2. Inspect front impact sensors and ensure they are properly installed.
3. Inspect airbag warning lamp for proper operation, as follows:
a. Turn ignition switch to the ON position. The airbag warning lamp should be illuminated and go out after 10 seconds.
4. If lamp fails to operate as specified, test the system using the DRB II diagnostic tool.
