1990-91
1. On models with airbags, disable airbag system as described under "Maintenance Procedures/Airbag System Disarming."

Fig. 79 Engine Controller Connector:

2. Unplug 60-way engine controller harness connector.
3. Connect the positive lead of a high impedance digital voltmeter to terminal 33.
4. Voltage should be 0 volts with speed control switch in OFF position and battery voltage with switch in ON position.
5. Connect the positive lead of voltmeter to terminal 48.
6. Voltage should be 0 volts with speed control switch in OFF position and battery voltage with switch in ON position. If voltage does not change from battery voltage to 0 volts when pressing Set button, perform Speed Control Switch Test. If switch operation is satisfactory, repair main harness as necessary.
7. Connect the positive lead of voltmeter to terminal 50.
8. Voltage should be 0 volts with speed control switch in either ON or OFF position. If voltage does not change from 0 volts to battery voltage when pressing Set or Resume button, perform speed control switch test. If switch operation is satisfactory, repair main harness as necessary.
9. Connect the positive lead of voltmeter to terminal 49.
10. Voltage should be 0 volts with speed control switch in OFF position and battery voltage with switch in ON position. If voltage changes from battery voltage to 0 volts when pressing Set or Resume button, perform speed control switch test. If switch operation is satisfactory, repair main harness as necessary.
11. Test continuity between terminal 29 and chassis ground with suitable ohmmeter. Meter should show continuity with brake pedal released and no continuity when pedal is depressed.
12. On models with airbags, rearm airbag as described under ``MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING."
