Parallelism Check

Refer to Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Brake Rotor/Disc/Specifications/Mechanical parallelism specifications.
1. Using a suitable micrometer, measure the rotor at 12 equally spaced points at a radius approximately one inch from edge of disc.
2. If measurements exceed specifications and the rotor cannot be machined, replace it.
3. If measurements exceed specifications and the rotor can be machined, resurface it.
4. Recheck parallelism. If measurements still exceed specifications, replace the rotor.
