Timing Cover: Service and Repair

TIMING BELT COVER REPLACEMENT
1. Drain cooling system and remove upper radiator hose for access to timing belt covers. Refer to Cooling System for draining procedure.
2. Remove the accessory drive belts. Remove fan module.

3. Remove crankshaft pulley (Fig.1).

4. Remove the stamped steel cover. Do not remove the sealer on the cover; it is reusable. If some sealer is missing use Mopar Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant or equivalent to replace the missing sealer.
5. Remove the cast cover.
6. Remove the lower belt cover located behind the crankshaft pulley.
7. To install, reverse previous procedures.
