SERPENTINE DRIVE BELT

BELT ROUTING
Refer to Fig. 23 for serpentine drive belt routing.

DRIVE BELT, REPLACE
The drive belt is provided with an adjustable tensioner pulley on the timing belt cover, Fig. 23, to maintain proper belt tension. To remove or install belt, release tension by loosening the tensioner pulley nut and adjustment bolt. Reverse procedure to tighten belt to specified tension.

BELT TENSION DATA
Use tensioning special tool kit No. C-4162 or equivalent to tighten used belts to 120 lbs. and new belts to 140 - 160 lbs.
