Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair

A/C Compressor Removal:

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Do not twist or loosen refrigerant lines during the following operation.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable, loosen and remove drive belts, and disconnect compressor clutch wire lead.
2. Remove compressor attaching nuts and bolts.
3. Lift compressor and clutch assembly and lay it on top of the front mounting yoke or any other suitable, stable surface.

To install, reverse the preceding operation.
