Windshield Washer Performance
MODELS:
1995 (JA) Cirrus/Stratus
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Reduced windshield washer spray pattern due to insufficient fluid volume.
DIAGNOSIS:
Inspect windshield washer hoses for any restrictions or pinching. If the hose is pinched where it passes over the cowl screen bulb seal on the right side perform the repair procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
1 4778224 Connector, In Line, 3/18" X 3/16"
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves installing an in line connector in the windshield washer hose to prevent pinching.
1. Locate the pinched hose near the right hand hood hinge.
2. Cut the hose in the center of the pinched area using wire cutter or razor blade.
3. Place connector, P/N 4778224, into cut hose. The hose may have to be opened to allow the connector to seat properly.
4. Once seated on both halves of the connector, adjust hose routing so that the connector lays over the cowl screen bulb seal.
