Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Rear Alignment

1. Center steering wheel and lock using a suitable steering wheel clamp.
2. Loosen adjusting screw jam nuts on four of the lateral arms and adjusting screws. Note each adjusting screw has one right-handed and one left-handed nut. When setting rear camber and toe, the maximum lateral link lengths must not be exceeded. If exceeded, inadequate retention of adjustment link to inner and outer link may result.
3. Adjust rear lateral link adjusting screw to obtain approximate rear camber setting, then adjust forward lateral link adjusting screw in combination with rear lateral link to reach preferred specification.
4. Adjust forward lateral link adjusting screw to set preferred rear toe specification.
5. Toe adjustment will cause a slight change in the camber setting. Should camber setting change during toe adjustment, continue to adjust camber and toe until both are at preferred specifications.
