SUBJECT:
Ground Strap Rubbing on A/C Line

MODELS:
1995 - 1997 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Engine to right frame rail/engine cradle ground strap may contact the A/C suction line near the frame rail. This casual contact can, over time cause the A/C suction line to fail.

DIAGNOSIS:

If the A/C suction line is worn through where it contacts the engine ground strap or the vehicle is in for other repairs and the suction line shows signs of abrasion, perform the Repair Procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:

1 04760874AA Strap, Engine Ground

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves installing a revised (coated) right side engine ground strap.

1. Raise vehicle on a suitable hoist.

2. Remove right ground strap attaching screws from the engine, frame rail and engine cradle.

3. Install the revised ground strap, P/N 04760874AA, and torque screws to 3.6 - 6.2 Nm (32 - 55 in.lbs.).
