Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

Fig 45 MAP Sensor:

NOTE: The MAP sensor threads into the left side of the intake manifold plenum (Fig. 45).

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the MAP sensor.
2. Remove sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. Thread sensor into intake manifold plenum. Tighten sensor to 10 Nm (90 in lb) torque and then rotate it to horizontal position.
2. Attach electrical connector to sensor.
