MIL Illumination With Hex Code $3E Or $42, Possible Sags/Hesitations Or Rough Idle

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves cutting and splicing a wiring jumper from the right and left oxygen sensors to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

MODELS:
1995 - 1996 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
MIL illumination with hex code $3E - LEFT UPSTREAM 02 SENSOR SHORTED TO VOLTAGE Or $42 - RIGHT UPSTREAM O2 SENSOR SHORTED TO VOLTAGE along with possible symptoms of sags/hesitation or rough idle.

NOTE:
HEX CODE $3E (P0132) OR $42 (P0152) MUST HAVE OCCURRED FOR THIS REPAIR TO BE EFFECTIVE.

DIAGNOSIS:
Using the Mopar Diagnostic System (MDS1/MDS2) or the Diagnostic Scan Tool (DRB III(R)) and the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures Manual, verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) are present, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin. If DTC $3E or $42 is present, follow the diagnostic procedure in the applicable diagnostic manual. If no apparent reason is found for the DTC, perform the Repair Procedure.
