Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Negative Battery Cable Remote Terminal:

1. Open hood and disconnect the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post.
2. Tilt the column up and remove the lower column shroud by unsnapping it from the upper shroud.
3. Tilt the column down and remove the upper shroud.

Upper Shroud Removal:

4. Tilt the column up and remove the one steering column tilt lever screw at base of lever. Remove tilt lever and lower shroud.
5. Using a screwdriver in place of the lever, tilt the column down. Remove the two mounting screws on the switch and remove the switch. Remove the wiring from the hooks and disconnect the two electrical connections on the multi-function switch. Remove the multi-function switch.

INSTALLATION
- For installation, reverse the above procedures. Torque the multifunction switch mounting screws to 17 in lbs. (2 N.m).
