Blower Motor: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION




BLOWER FAN AND MOTOR CHECK
When battery voltage is applied between the terminals, check that the motor operates. Also, check an abnormal noise.





RESISTOR RESISTANCE CHECK
Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between the terminals as indicated below. Check that the measured value is at the standard value.

Standard value:
Measurement terminal = Standard value (Ohms)
Between terminals 3 - 2 (LO) = 1.83
Between terminals 3 - 4 (ML) = 0.87
Between terminals 3 - 1 (MH) = 0.31
