Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector.
2. Measure the resistance between the sensor terminals.
Standard value:
^ 9 - 11 k ohms [at 25°C (77°F)]
^ 0.6 - 0.8 k ohms [at 100°C (212°F)]
If not within specifications, replace the air flow sensor.

3. Apply sealant to threaded portion.
- Specified sealant: Loctite 24200 or equivalent
4. Install intake air temperature sensor and tighten it to specified torque.
- Sensor tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ft. lbs.)
5. Fasten harness connectors securely.
