Starts Since Set Counter

For the most recent code (Code 1), this counter counts the number of times the vehicle has started since it was last set. The Starts Since Set counter will count up to 255 starts. This counter only applies to code #1 (Most recent code) if there is more than 1 code set.
When there are no diagnostic trouble codes stored in memory, the DRB will display "NO CODES FOUND" and the Starts Since Set counter will show "RESET COUNT = XXX".
The number of starts helps determine if the diagnostic trouble code is hard or intermittent.
- If the Starts Since Set count is 2 or less, the code is considered to be a hard code.
- If the Starts Since Set count is 3 or greater, it is considered an intermittent code. This means that the engine has been started 3 times or more without the code recurring.
