Drive Belt: Service and Repair

A/C COMPRESSOR DRIVE BELT TENSION CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT

1. Use a belt tension gauge to check belt tension at the shown point, or check deflection by applying 98 N (22 lbs) to the shown point.

2. If it is out of the standard value, adjust it according to the following procedure.
(1) Loosen the tension pulley fixing nut (A).
(2) Use the tension pulley adjusting bolt (B) to adjust the belt tension.
(3) Tighten the tension pulley fixing nut (A).
