Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove accessory drive belts.
2. Remove crankshaft damper bolt.

3. Remove damper by using Special Tool 1026 and Insert 6827-A (Fig. 79).

INSTALLATION
1. Install crankshaft damper using M12 1.75 x 150 mm bolt, washer, thrust bearing and nut from Special Tool 6792.

NOTE: Lubricate the threads of the M12 1.75 x 150 mm bolt before beginning to press the damper on.

2. Install crankshaft damper bolt and tighten to 142 Nm (105 ft. lbs.) (Fig. 80).
3. Install accessory drive belts.
