Console: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Open hood.

2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Grasp the front of the overhead console and pull downward to disconnect the front retaining clip.
4. Slide the overhead console forward to disengage the rear tabs from the headliner.
5. Disconnect wire connector.
6. Unsnap compass module from inner roof panel.
7. Remove console from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Install console into vehicle.
2. Snap compass module onto inner roof panel.
3. Connect wire connector.
4. Slide the overhead console rearward to engage the rear tabs onto the headliner.
5. Align the front of the overhead console above the retaining slot and firmly snap into place connect the front retaining clip.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
7. Close hood.
8. Calibrate compass. Refer to Service Procedures, Compass Calibration.
