Front Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch Replacement

To service the front windshield wiper/washer switch, the multi-function switch must first be removed.

REMOVAL
1. Open hood.

2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Remove both upper and lower steering column shrouds. Refer to Instrument Panel Systems, Steering Column Shroud Removal and Installation.

4. Disconnect both posi-lock harness connectors at the rear of the multi-function switch.
5. Remove multi-function switch mounting screws and remove switch from vehicle.

6. Remove the two torx screws retaining the wiper/washer switch to the multi-function switch and separate.

INSTALLATION
1. Place new wiper/washer switch next to the multi-function switch and install two screws.
2. Place the multi-function switch into place and install the two mounting screws. Torque multi-function switch to column retaining screws to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.).
3. Connect both posi-lock harness connectors at the rear of the multi-function switch and front wiper/washer switch.
4. Install both upper and lower steering column shrouds. Refer to Instrument Panel Systems, Steering Column Shroud Removal and Installation.
5. Connect the battery negative cable.
6. Close hood.
7. Verify vehicle and system operation.
