Instrument Panel (Top Section)



REMOVAL




1. Remove the A-pillar trim (1).

NOTE: A plastic wedge or a suitable coin can be used to turn the fuse cover locks.




2. Remove the fuse covers (1) on the left and right.




3. Remove the screw located in the right and left air nozzles (2) by pushing the deflector up to reveal the screw.

4. Remove the screws (1) on left and right of the instrument panel located on the inside of the fuse cover.
5. Remove the screws attaching the front center console to the top section on the instrument panel.




6. Open the glove compartment and remove the screws (1) attaching it the top section of the instrument panel.




7. Remove the defroster grille screws (1) and the defroster grille pulling it outwards.




8. Remove the bolts (1) on left and right under the defroster grille.

CAUTION: Damage to the top section of instrument panel can occur if the A-pillar sheet metal clips are not removed when removing and installing the top section of the instrument panel.




9. Remove the sheet metal clips (1) on left and right A-pillars.




10. Lift the top section (1) of the instrument panel and remove toward rear.
11. Lay the top section of instrument panel down on a suitable surface.


INSTALLATION




NOTE:
- Pay good attention to the uniform gap in relation to the driver and passenger door trim panels.
- When installing, check for proper installation of the insulating mat, sheet metal clips and expanding anchors.

1. Install the top section (1) of instrument panel.




2. Install the sheet metal clips (1) on left and right A-pillars.




3. Install the bolts (1) on left and right under the defroster grille.




4. Position the defroster grille (2) and install the screws (1).




5. Install the screws (1) to the glove compartment attaching it to the top section of the instrument panel.




6. Install the screws (1) attaching the front center console to the top section on the instrument panel.




7. Install the screws (1) on left and right of the instrument panel located on the inside of the fuse cover.
8. Install the screws (2) located in the air nozzles.




9. Install the fuse covers (1) on the left and right.




10. Install the A-pillar trim (1).
