Transmission Cooler: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION







The automatic transmission oil cooler consist of an internal oil-to-coolant type mounted in the radiator lower tank, and an external air-to-oil type mounted in front of the radiator (Fig. 1). Rubber hoses connect the oil coolers to the automatic transmission. Use only approved transmission oil cooler hose for replacement. The hoses are molded to the fit space available.
